When a grey knight is initiated, hes given a NFW. So as he progresses through the ranks of justicar, terminator, brother-captain, etc., does he keep the same one? I guess its kind of a fluff to model question, because the models have different size weapons (termies Vs. PAGK)
Space Marines are the gateway drug
If everyone makes fun of West Virginia, who does West Virginia make fun of?
Yes, they keep the same one, but the blade and the haft get switched out for larger ones when the GK becomes a terminator. This leaves a central core unchanged, it's through that that the GK channels his power.
1500 years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the Universe
500 years ago everybody knew the world was flat
5 minutes ago you knew humans were alone on the planet
Imagine what you'll know tomorrow
Then does the size have to do with the power? Because as he moves up in ranks a Grey Knights NFW is more powerful, switching to a power weapon, and a force weapon as he progresses.
So does it need a more powerful central core to channel the amount of energy necessary to destroy your opponent, hence the force weapon, or is that just a skill the Grey Knight attains after becoming a Grandmaster?
If not then wouldnt the energy core have to be switched out, and also wouldnt it erode over time even if it didnt?

Oh i see what he means.
Pretty much, they DO get new swords as they progress from PAGK to Terminator, but the inner psychic part in which makes the NFW a NFW stays the same. and no, a new sword is not required
to have a power weapon or force weapon, because the strength of the NFW is relative to the users psychic ability.
By the way Kale, i already beat KH2 and have ultima weapon. awesome game dude
Oh kale you missed one.

As far as i know, i think they keep the same weapon their whole lives. They are speccially tuned to their psychic potential when they are made, and that is all there ever is. The fact that different models SHOW different weapons doesn't mean anything. A PAGK squad likely has many a few halberds, swords and maybe a hammer. As they grow psychically, the NFW adapts to them, because it has already been attuned to their potential, not their abilities at initiation.
