In the BA codex it says that if you choose a veterean sargeant to join the DC he either gets a PF or PW. In the BA updatre on the GW website is only says that the sargeant looses all previous wargear, which is it?
When do you think the new BA codex will come out?
And arent the DC with free jumppack, feel no pain, 2 attacks and ferious charge a bit too good if you assume he was a 15p marine?! especially in low point games (1000)
ok...the website and codex are both correct.
Since in the codex he also loses all wargear. But the codex is valid, and so you are still allowed to equip him with a PW or PF.
The DC are not as amazing as you think. Personally I lvoe them, but they do have some disadvantages.
Such as the fact that you have move towards the nearest enemy...which could be a Daemon Prince . Also if they get charged in turn...furious charge is nothing.
Plus...their DC...their meant to be feared
Victory needs no explanation, defeat allows none.
Yes, they lose the wargear in the sense that whatever they had, they drop and are re-equipped when they enter the DC. Well, the Vet Sarge was a bit more expensive.
DC are a great bargain, but remember, when models go to the DC they count as casualties, and NO VPs.(say you have a squad of 5, and you lose 3 to the DC, that squad is no longer a scoring unit, and you oponent just got half of the VPs for the squad) DC are great but can hurt you too.
The trick with the Vet sarges are to give them minimal wargear to make them work.
and if you think about it, a Vet sarge without any wargear that goes to the DC just got even more for free!
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
