I have recieved some comments in the past that I should build a "Dark Angels-y" or "Dark Angels-ish" army. I've thought about this a liitle, and I would like to build a traits army with a Dark Angels feel to it. What traits should I use for this? I'm thinking along the lines of Take the Fight to them with something else and some Disadvantage.
well, first of all, dark-angels are considered a shooty army, so take the fight to them doesn't really fit there (even though I often play my Dar-Angels in assult mode).
If you want to play a CC-army, there's lots of options with take the fight to them. One of my favorites is combined with Cleanse and Purify, and make a drop-pod army...

Can't understand why you don't just play your force using the DA Codex rather than traits. There are so many other bits and special weapons, rules etc you will just miss out on.
And what prompted the suggestions that you play DA-stylee anyway?

Well, back when I started, while I was choosing a chapter, I chose the Dark Angels because the name sounded sinister, "ooh Dark Angels." My Physics teacher, who has been playing since the first edition, said that with the new Space Marines Codex there were several other better chapters. I decided to stay DA, but he suggested that I try DA-y or DA-ish. Now almost a year later, I've decided to give it a try.
There is no way to reproduce any of the benefits of a dark angel army with the traight system. The closest you get is the ability to take bikes as troops to mimick ravenwing.Originally Posted by Dark_Angels_Master
Other then that, DA are unique.
