I wanted a jump packed command squad to go with my jump packe dcomander, and I originally thought this was all going to be ok, I didn't quite read the codex right however I think grr.
Theoretically you can get the CS, give them all terminator honours, make 3 of them the 3 specialists (apothecery, standard, champion). Then they can all access the armourry but the one guy left over!
Has anyone any idea how I could do this? Mainly as I've already bought all thebits to make em
Switch to Blood Angels :p
Other than that theres no other way of feasibly making ur jumppack command squad.
This is stupid but you could do as you say and give the sarge and specialist jumppacks and leave the last marine. Then when the battle starts just hope that the last dude gets shot quickly and hooraa...you have command squad all equipped with jumpacks
Ultramarines Second Company
Give the extra guy either a plasma cannon or gun. That should finish that problem off faster.

Unless you're planning on deep-striking them, just take an Assault Squad, and attach your Chaplain to it during deployment. It works for me.
Just take an assult squad, and attach your HQ to it. It's a lot cheaper, and more importantly, legal. It's actually one of the most cost-effective units in the army, when used in conjunction with a chaplain.

Thanks all - thing is where's the fun in just an assult squad eh? I really just wanted a sweet looking unit to go witht he comander, and as jump packs look good, that's what I tried to get :'(
How come blood angels can take jump packs then? I definately want my existing colours but I could nick their codex rules?
blood angels can do it because they're blood angels.
it's one of their special quirks.
if you use the blood angel honour guard rules you'll have to use all the blood angel rules.
you can't pick and choose the rules you use.
"i am a leaf in the wind, see how i soar"
oh that's not what I meant, I meant making them a succesor champion, using all their rules except dspecial characters and going from there.
Not as much fun as my own chapter though :-x
Yes, just call your force a Blood Angels successor chapter and use your own colors and name. Only thing is, you have to use all of the BA rules, and can't pick and choose.Originally Posted by Tetsugaku-San

Thx all - just one last question - is doing that all OK in Tournament games etc? And in the shops?
