Have a question on multi wound models and Invulnerable saves....
Q. A multi wound model with an Invulnerable save is wounded by a plasma/lascannon/krak missile ect (dbl Strength or low AP)...........it then fails the 4+ Invulnerable save............
Does the model take a wound due to the fail ......or..... is the model killed outright due to the
Strength and or AP of the plasma/lascannon/krak missile ect.
I think it should be the latter..........but others argue that its a wound off the model and play on!
Is there a ref in the BGB or FAQ on multi wound models and Invulnerable saves?
A model is NEVER killed outright due too good AP. Well, unless it has only one wound, but that aside. Instant kill can only occur if a weapon has at least twice as much strength as its victim has toughness.
So if a multi-wound marine fails his inv. save against a multi-melta, lascannon, krak-missile, or demolisher cannon, he is instantly slain. The damage is just too much for his body to cope with. But plasma stuff, being only str 7, doesn't instakill marines...
"I have died a thousand deaths, and I will die a million more..."
Just so you can look it up yourself, it's spelled out on pg 27
"The internet perceives censorship as damage, and routes around it."
Insta kill weapons by double strength apply when ANY save is failed, including invuls.
