Whats are some peoples armaments for chappies on bikes and the bike squads they join? I run a rather shooty army and like to use the chappy as a nice counterattacking force.
Space Marines are the gateway drug
If everyone makes fun of West Virginia, who does West Virginia make fun of?
My chappy would be equiped with boltpistol, termie honors and frag grenades and offcourse a bike. the rest of the mandatorry equipment he allready has, powerweapon, inv save.
My Bike Chappie carries a plasma pistol, crozius, termie honours, frags. Then He joins a 5 man bike squad that has 2 meltas, a vet sgt w/ pwr wpn, then an attack bike attachs along to this. Then since i have be swift as the wind they all have furious charge! (well except for the chappie.)
Anyways, this serves as my spearhead unit against smurfs. 2 meltas and a plasma pistol drop a good number of MEQ's, then with all the bolt fire i end up dropping 3 or 4 from shooting total. Then on the charge the chaplain has his usual 6 attacks, then the vet sgt gets his 4 STRENGTH 5 I5 pwr wpn attacks! Then w/e is left over is usually mopped up by the 11 normal S5 attacks
2000pts Orks 4-2-1
there is the invincible chaplain. bike, artificer armor, mantle, bolt pistol, terminator honors
81 bolter shots to bring down. cool huh?
Take life seriously, its lethal.
That is simply too many points on one model. Besides what if you come under a lascannon heavy weapons team. Or Retributors with 4 Multi Meltas. AP1 and AP2 are not your friends.Originally Posted by DominionWeaponsGroup
I would say have the same wargear as a jump chap except with a bike. Then with him have a powerfisted vet sergeant and 2 meltaguns. Not much left when they are done with you except molten slag. Ugggghhh.......:x
since you turbo-boost, your saves are invulnerable until you assault, and even if you fail 1 of your 2+ invulnerable saves your mantle prevents you from dying. this guys is only like 200pts, and immensly hard to kill.

My bike chaplain dosnt have a bike squadron but I usually have him escort my assault squads. Usually I sit him back and wait for them to get into assault range or I use him to draw fire.
My Chaplain is kitted out much the same. Artificer Armor, Bolt Pistol, Terminator honours and Meltabombs. When he joins my Furious Charge, dual Flamer, HB Attack Bike, Power Fisted Sargent equipped bike squad it can level most anything on the board, I've taken on entire armies with just that squad and come out on top.
Though there has been quite a few occasions that my Chaplain has outlived my Bikers and/or has been targeted by ordenence or instakill weapons that I've considered adding on an Mantel. It would put the cost of the chaplain to 200 points but every time I've lost my chaplain to those attacks, I've always been in a position to do even more hurt to the enemy so the cost is resonable.
People who don't know how to use artillery are using artillery, and that scares me. -TacJack
Bring out the Bikes!
That is AWESOME. I cannot believe that I have only one bike in my army. I NEED to get going on a bike squad.Originally Posted by DominionWeaponsGroup

The point being made, is that 2+ armor saves are not end all, yes it might become invulnerable, but ask a deathwing player how many times a squad comes under bolter fire only to roll a bunch of 1s on the save.Originally Posted by DominionWeaponsGroup
As both a SM player and a Chaos player. Any time someone pops an "artificer armor" guy, I just pump him full of rapid fire goodness, and they DO go down.
Be careful what you put your faith in on the battlefield. Numbers are always more favorable than single big nasty models.
