Ok it's official i hate brood lords and genestealers how do you stop them? no one can take them on in close combat i play dark angels. and i also want to know if you play an assault squad what should you give them, and why cant you give them lightning claws. and also what are the rules from using characters from other chapters
Gun them down. Their saves aren't great, and if you thin them out enough they shouldn't be a problem. Heavy Bolters andAssult Cannons work miracles here (land-speeder tornadoes in particular). An assult squad with attached chaplain can take care of them, more easily even if they get to charge.Originally Posted by Torro10 man squad, vet. sarge with powerfist/bolt pistol, 2x plasma pistol, attached chaplain. You can take lightning claws; your veteran sergeant can take them. This is very expensive though, and not usually worth it.You can't. Dark-Angels can't take allies. In any other army you could take one special character as an allied HQ choise, but Dark-Angels simply can't, for fluff reasons.and also what are the rules from using characters from other chapters

"I have died a thousand deaths, and I will die a million more..."
On the stealers just use as much fire power as it takes till they are dead. Group your squads fairly close together (not consolidation close) but close enough to focus fire on the stealer brood. Assault cannons, heavy bolters, flamers, heavy flamers, and even frag missles out of a 4 missle Dev squad can wreak havok on any stealers.
Last time I faced nids I drop podded one tactical squad with cleanse and purify (two flamers) and eight bolters and I ripped the heck out of my opponents genestealer force, and made him stop his advance to come back and deal with that tactical squad. As we all know, slowing down stealers is always a good thing.
I agree with the lightning claws being too exensive on a singel wound model. If you are asking why the whole squad cannot have them (unlike Assault Terminators) I would guess that they are not experienced enough (no terminator honours afterall).
Bolter Blasting Blizzard = Victory
You could also hit them with a couple plasma cannon shots, should do it nicely.
Heavy bolters also rip through them nicely so that could be a thing to try.
Or just take 2 land speeder tornados and assault cannon/heavy bolter them down, should do the job nicely.
Mabey a Vindicare assasin would be a good choice( I don't know if you could take one though ). I hate the broodlord as well the best advice I can give is to build a strong reactive squad to gun them down.

No, dark Angels cannot take allies, so no assassins
I agree with gunning them down but they got so close to my units that he scuttled them closer, then moved them 6" cause it was his turn then charged them into close combat. so from there on i couldn,t touch him. and if he infiltrates what's the rule on seeing him if he's not deep enough in cover?
Are you talking about normal Genestealer squads or the Broodlord retinue? A Broodlord retinue cannot benefit from Scuttlers. . .Originally Posted by TorroPage 84 of the rulebook.and if he infiltrates what's the rule on seeing him if he's not deep enough in cover?
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

I agree with The Outsider. Two LSTs are your best counter against this kind of thing. You're looking at seven shots from each speeder, four of which are rending (not that it matters with stealers crappy save).
Maybe stick a group of five scouts in between your tac squads and the stealers. The stealer mob will smoke them, but that's ok. That's what you want to happen because then the stealers will be unlocked for your shooting phase.
We all carry on,
When our brothers in arms are gone.
So raise your glass high
For tomorrow we die,
And return from the ashes you call.
maybe a termie squad with 2 assault cannons could do the job. They shoot a lot and get powerfists and inv. saves in close combat. But make sure the stealers are not too numerous when they get into cc. Termies will also be helpful against the monstrous creatures with their rending shots and their powerfists.
I think the tornados are another good option for taking out stealers (7 ap4 shots!!!).
Maybe tornados with heavy flamers could also do the job, but...
