    Basic Bikes

Im back with a few quick questions about SM Bikes.

    1) If I give a Bike a Power Weapon, they dont get an additional attack do they?

    2) If I give a Chaplain a Storm Bolter, can he fire it, even though its a two handed weapon?

    3) Does the same Chaplain still use his Power Weapon in CC?

i may be wrong, but as far as the 2 handed weapons are concerned, it was explained to me that they simply balance them on the bike to fire them.

Actually the rule of not being able to use 2 close combat weapons on bike is not around anymore in 4th edition, that was a third edition thing that no longer is around.

For loyalist space marines, AFAIK chaos bikers can't weild two one handed weapons.

not unless you also equip them with a second close combat weapon. And this can only be done with the sergeant or with an ic as you need access to the armory.

Yes. The distinction of requiring a free hand on a bike has been removed. Of course in most cases, the TL bolter is better then the SB as its free and doesnt take up one of your weapon slots.

You designate what weapon models make their attacks with in close combat. So long as you make all attacks with the same weapon. So yes, he will use his crozius arcanum as it is better then smacking peole with the butt of his gun.

As a side note, equiping a chaplain with a storm bolter at any time is pretty dumb. Being so good at close combat you want to give him a weapon that will count towards the extra attack. Generally this is a bolt pistol as they are the cheapest. Equiping a storm bolter to a bike mounted chaplain is even more rediculous. The bike already comes with a TL bolter that can be fire at 24" even after moving. So not only are you losing one fo your valuable close combat attacks by giving him a stormbolter, he isnt gaining all that much in the way of shooting.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
