As i said in a past post about the Medusa campaign, i use to put in my list a team of 10 ssR(9+mistress)+priest.
however during last matchs i played, they did not seem to me as strong as i expected.
is there a particular tactica to use them or i only was unlucky?
-Innocence proves Nothing-
When i've used a squad that size I like to start them next to a rhino or immolator and put them on the side that you're going to expect the least lateral fire from. Basically, use the vehicle to block line of sight. Also, use sisters squads to draw enemies in while the repentia advance behind cover.
Last game I played with a 10 sister squad, they chewed right through a 20 marine squad of Word Bearers (with a little help from bolter fire) and advanced into a demon price taking his chaos hounds down and leaving him with 1 wound left. That said, they had the help of a priest with a plasma gun. The priests best use is with repentia for the charging rerolls.
ok, i have no idea why that priest is carrying a plasma gun w/ repentia but w/e.
I used to have a squad that i joined up w/ a priest w/ pwer weapon. It actually proved quite successful for me.The priest and mistress can chew through normal infantry saving some of the repentia lives as they'll be striking last.

Gah! I think that I will finally paint that Repentia box after all. Can you imagine, that they were the first units that I got, and they never actually made it out of the box
I painted over 50 modeles for my army, Throne of Judgement, three tanks, Battletech Lance of Mechs and a series of models for a friend, yet here the Repentia are, still in the box
Shame, shame on me for doubting them
there are 2 waords that should always acomapnt the word Mistress, adn those 2 words are "19 Repentia"
Anything less and by the time to make it to combat and let them hit you a few times, you'll be far too diluted to strike back effectively.

Sorry for the off-topic comments. Now, back to Repentias and Priests
Having them use cover (Rhino, other squads or scenery) is the only viable way to get them into combat for now. Squadsize - bigger the better, but it will make them harder to hide behind stuff, plus they can get expensive really quickly. For one of them you could almost get two regular SOBs onto the table, and use Faith points on them too!
But we all love the Repentia models and fluff
Since you cannot give Mistress or Repentia any extra gear, the only character that can augment the squad in any way is the Priest. He himself costs quite a penny, and comes with laspistol or CCW. He has no armor save, but his rules specify that he cannot be singled out in combat, so I guess he can use the majority save of 4+ coming from Repentia? In this case any armor is useless on him (I hope that I have not gotten the rules backward).
Since the Repentia strike last, the Mistress first, he will be attacking together with other I4 units (think that this is a majority of troops out there). Repentia are not really easily breakable (morale-wise), so I'd say give him gear that will enable him to take down some bad guys before they strike at Repentia. Since he can take anything from the armory (except the SOB-only stuff) there is plenty to chose from.
Now, because we do not want him to strike last, I'd say forget the Eviscerator. Also, forget the laspistol (we want to harm enemies, not point them out). How about Brazier of Holy Fire or Power Weapon? Not your usual priest, but flamer template before a charge would help (too bad you can't give a heavy flamer to him). Power Weapon with his strenght is not great, but it does not strike last... Or what about Storm Bolter or the Mancatcher?
His Plasma Gun deal is also interesting, but since he always counts as moving, you cannot shoot the 24", and can only fire twice at 12". Doing that though means double the chance of overheat. I am not sure about that armor-save rule on him, so don't know what are his chances of making the roll. It would be cool to take down two guys with those shots (AP2), but it sounds risky. And taking only one shot at 12" - I would take the flamer template myself...
As I said above, I did not use Repentia myself yet, but this is my theoretical thinking on the subject. With the Medusa campaign optional rules, you will definitivly get your answers soon, as people might use these fine girls more often
