I'm looking to round out my army now, and my next big purchase is going to be 2 Dreadnaughts. I've been sorely tempted to shell out the extra bucks for the Forge World models, but on the other hand, it'd be a lot faster to just go to the local shop.
Which do you guys use for Dreadnaughts? And has anybody had any success/advice with setting Dreadnaughts up with swappable arms, so the armaments can be changed out depending on the list?
I just use the GW store Dreads.

It's worth a krak!
I've got one regular Smurf Dreadnought and one ForgeWorld dread. The FW dreads look great painted up, but if you are going to shell out for one then be warned; they take a lot of work to clean up before you can get them into a paint-able state.
Here's my FW dread looking all mean with his little store-bought friend in a crappy quality picture:
I want to get some grey knight dreads but on the other hand its one grey knight dread to two store dreads. This made it an easy choice for me, though I will order the foregeworld plasma cannon arms ans such.
The gold grey knight man. These are hardy men who like cheese.
Ever thought of how cheese was found?:
`` I say sah, the milk in this barrel smells foul!``
``Oooohhh, give it a go!``
''Quack, damn you!''
-Jamie heinamen, Mythbusters.
I've got three GW Dreads, and I just paint the inside of the arms heavy black, and then I can interchange the weaponry. I've seen the Forgeworld Dreads, and don't like them any better than the GW ones.

The new plastic kit for the Venerable Dreadnought from GW looks to be suitably ornate for a GK Dreadnought, without the price of Forge World. But it isn't quite out yet.
I would consider the sarcophagus Grey Knight dreadnought body. Its about $20 but looks pretty cool. I bought one, but my other two dreads are just plain and simple.
Et imperator Invocato Diabolus Daemonica Exorcist!
I know some of you saw him before, but I'm a big fan of FW stuff (as some of you already know). So here he is again:
I use both and if your good at converting, I don't think it really matters.
I have one of each. If you want to make a GW dread' look snazzy and grey knightish, get one of the GK icon packs that FW sells, with just one, you can "pimp out" several and for less than the special dreads'. For the switcheable arms, I don't bother with magnets, just stick them on and take them off, they work fine for me without extra stuff.

500 years ago everybody knew the world was flat
5 minutes ago you knew humans were alone on the planet
Imagine what you'll know tomorrow
GIJedi, that's a heckuva missile rack that Dread is toting!
I'm definitely leaning towards getting the GW Dreads instead of FW..both for price and easy to get my hands on. I can already feel the pain in the rear magnetizing it is going to be, but that'll be a future project for sure!
