    500 pt armored company

so I was looking at the armoured company army list and realized that for 505 pts you could field 3 exterminators complete with heavy bolter sponsons. how do you think they would hold up in a 500 point game?

Is that including the upgrade for one of your tanks to be a command tank?

It would kinda own, until the enemy brings along some tanks of their own, at which point you may have a problem (exterminators arn't known for their anti-tank capabilities)....

yes, that is one command tank and two troop tanks. your probably right, exterminators aren't what you want for heavy armour piercing, still I would love to see the look on my opponents face when I drop three Russ' on the table for a 500 point game....

if its at 500 points though, who brings armor at that scale? (besides you...)

And autocannons can hurt armor, they rape light armor, so as long as your opponent isn't bringing a land raider crusader, you're relatively ok.

Ive tried that exact thing, and my opponent just stared.....Then he got kinda sad, since he had no real anti-tank to speak of........in other word, it could work if your opponent dosnt expect it.

exterminators are fantastic but you could have a nasty surprise if your enemy decides to bring loads of special or heavy weapons. you could however have a lot of fun ripping apart infantry.

no one expects to fight 14 armour in a 500 point game, let alone 3 of them kitted with all sorts of nasty anti infantry stuff. don't let em get behind you though.

teach those Space Marine pigs the meaning of armoured might! laugh as their bolters glance harmlessly off your armour!
