what vehicle upgrades are worth their points?
what do you find works best and why?
I was thinking extra armour, smoke launchers, H. Stubber.
also, any comments on my current army list would be well appreciated just click on the link
That on average is what I use for my Chimeras when I have the spare five points for the extra armor. Then again the othere items go to my Leman Russ Battle Tanks. Other than that I would recommend you use all of them on your vehicles. But since it's your army, it's up to you to add the items and go through the glueing of them.

It also depends on the vehicle, a chimera can really benefit from the heavy stubbers firepower, but a russ with a lascannon would not. I'd say extra armour and smoke launchers on everyting you can afford, also consider dozerblades on vehicles you want to keep mobile if you play on allot of terrain.

if your demolisher has 3 HBs, the stubber might be a good choice, though i tend to using one on my hellhounds instead (3 instead of 2 weapon destrozed roles).
if the demolisher is equippted with plasmacannons or a lascannon, don't take it.
but extra armour and smoke launchers are a must IMO and cost practically nothing.
A heavy stubber goes well with the multi laser/HB load out and a demolisher should always have extra armour. I put smoke on all of my vehicles too.

i absolutely love a leman russ exterminator with 3 h bolters, twin linked autocannon and a heavy stubber. Thats an immense amount of firepower and a lot of dice rolls (for a tank)

I put a stubber on everything I can. It lets me throw a withering amount of firepower down the lane, and that much shooting has got to hurt somebody. I especially like it on my hellhound, because that furthers its role as the infantry killing death machine that it currently is.
Other then that, I generally don't upgrade my vehicles from the armory. I always put sponsoons of some sort, but I avoid smoke launchers and extra armor unless I were to put those on a chimera, in which case those are important because they help the tank keep rolling forward, which instead of shooting is it's job.

On my chimeras I use extra armor, smoke and stubber. Other than that as points allow the rest of my vehicles get the same.
If playing AC I ensure my sentinel has improved comms as well (as my command tank) so I can get as many vehicles on the board on turn 2 if the scenario is one that makes you move on.
never really seen the point of adding extra armour. usually put smoke laucnchers on , maybe a heavy stubber and the odd armoured crew compartment on sentinels

you don't see the point in adding extra armour but buying armoured crew compartement for sentinal ? :cry:
k, never had a stunned tank in front of some powerfists? or footsluggers with melters? bet you'd like to move it....
and with the armoured crew compartemen, i can't imagine a vehicle upgrade that is more a waste on points.
