I'm building a SW army from the ground up, start small get big, and I'm trying to get a 500 opint army to start, I have a rune priest and a squad of BC's and GH's and I would like to have a LF squad, but it just won't fit, (I'm playing wisiwyg)
What I can't decide is whould I try to make a LF squad or should I buy another kind of HS? Like a whirlwind? (I'm aiming at that more right now.)
Or should I go with another HS choice, OR go with speeders? TOO MANY CHOICES!!! :realmad:
Thanks in advance

i'ld recomend some long ranged anti tank... either a dread with TLLC/ML or a predator anihilator with hvy bolter sponsons.

I would never choose whirlwinds over speeders. I think lots of shots typically is better than a template; I know the template can kill more, but the number of shots will normally kill some, when the template will often miss everything. Also the ability to take down vehicles rear armor (and having the ability to easily get there) is a bonus for the speeder, plus I think they tend to more durable, because they are always moving fast your enemy will only get glancing hits, and they are hard to hit in hand to hand. And the ultimate downer is that the AP on the whirlwind is worse, Lots of powerfull units have 4+ saves (tyranid warriors and stealers, fire warriors, Storm troopers, and space marine scouts).
