Hey i was just wondering as i do space marines and making my own chapter , Could i make a squad with all special weapons because i think that would be sweet and i have like 6 plasmas 3 meltas and a flamer spare thanks cya :shifty:
Hmm, just a quick glance through the codex and I don't think you can pack all that in one squad. I didn't see any traits that let you swap weapons or take other weapons so I think that's out. The only squad that has more access to weapons than normal is the Veteran Squad. Even then I don't think you could get an entire squad that didn't have a bolter or bolt pistol.
*shrug*, I'll be curious to see if someone can figure out how to do it. But I bet it would be real expensive.

Nope, you can't. The max way of getting special weapons would be if you took the 'cleanse and purify' trait. But you would ONLY be able to get 2 special weapons. Lookit up. :yes:Originally Posted by pr4nk_m0nkey

Best you could do is everyone with plasma pistols. and two heavy/assault weapons, Command squad, take all the special characters, give everyone termie honours, give them all plasma pistols, then take the two extra weapons. It would be extremely expensive, considering that every model would have a value min value of 25 points. Although it has the potential for some crazy devasatation. Incase you roll a one and fail your armor save(which i do on a regular basis) the apothecary can save your guy.
itd be uber expensive, but if a command squad sergeant takes termie honours, the rest of the squad can too, so you could give them all combi-bolters. I always wanted to try that, get a bunch of combi bolter-grenade launchers like our modern day spec ops, not technically legal but a cool conversion

I think the cheapest non-trait non-command option is to take an Assault squad minus the jump packs, with Vet Sarge. But that only gives you three specials.
If you took a Tech Marine along with, you could take 2 pasma pistols on the troops, 1 plasma pistol on the sarge, and a plasma pistol on the Techie. Any misses in the squad are likely to cause Gets Hot rolls, but one could be rerolled with the signum, avoiding a save and giving another chance to hit.
If you upgrade the Tech Marine, you could gain another special. The TL plasma, or the flamer.
Or you could go all out, and do pretty much the same thing to a Command Squad, replacing the plasma pistols on the troops, with plasma guns (or assault weapons to match the pistols/CCW's). Be sure to add the Apothecary, so you can reroll a failed save.
