Here is my new chapter im thinking of making.
Be swift as the wind (bikes can be elites or fast attack)
and No Mercy, No Respite (tac, assault squads take furious assault at +3 pts per model)
Drawbacks: Flesh over steel (no heavy stuff)
My main idea is to have a fast attack army with assault squads for CC, and bikes and LST's for fast hitting. I'll put the assaults in elite, and bikes/lst's in fast. I'll use scouts with snipers and launchers for troops because of their infitrate, and mov through cover. Does this make sense? Is this chapter setup worth it? Or should I go raven gaurd due to its similarities.
It doesn't sound to me like you need "no mercy no respite" if you only plan to take scouts and no tacticals or devs.
Personally, i wouldn't use scouts with sniper rifles, they're not worth it. If you want troops that can assault, i'd take the bikes, speeders, and take the trait that allows your tacs to substitute CC weapons and put a couple of squads in rhinos or razorbacks.
Hope you have lots of money, bikes and speeders are expensive. Well, heck...it's all expensive.
Better to play with white scars or raven guard, I think. Or Blood Angels.
That's my 2 cents.
well for bikes and speeders i might as well go ravenwing, but im fond of assault squads. ill probably just go raven gaurd, because they have that really cool special char too
if you wnat infiltrate get see but don't be seen.
otherwise just paly a gam,e first with no traits and then decide which ones suit your type of play.
