Here is another chapter i want to have, and i need to know if this is legal.
Blessed be the warriors. it states that they MUST take furious assault skil at 3 pts per model. Does that mean i need to take no mercy, no respite to do so, or are they allowing me to purchase for 3 pts?
If i dont need to get no mercy, no respite, I really want to have See, But don't be seen as my second advantage, so i can send in some nice tac squads using infiltrate. My main units would consist of tac squads, assault sqauds, and some LST's.
My drawback would be Flesh Over Steel. I would make a chaplain with jetpack to go with my assault sqauds.
Is this a wise army set-up? I'm fairly new to 40k and i need to know if im being a dumbass before i make any major decisions.
Blessid be the warriors allows you take assault squads as elites, if you do so, you must purchase furious charge, for 3 points a model.Sounds like a good plan.My main units would consist of tac squads, assault sqauds, and some LST's.
Nothing illegal at all about that, except you must select a major disadvantage (and probably a minor one as well, not sure if those are on the same type or not)
I suggest no allies and apsire to glory, so long as you dont indend to use any terminators, or very many dreads.
Yeah, you would have to pick one major and one minor drawback to use both Blessed by the Warriors and See but don't be seen.
I've run a similar setup before with see but don't be seen and trust your battle brothers. I basically sunk a lot of points into tactical squads to give them all of the nifty skills I had picked. I built the army for a small game against tyranids. The army was truly the wrong choice for the battle, since I ended up getting slaughtered before turn 6 even started
The drawbacks that I like are Eye to eye (because I don't own any bikes) and Die standing (because who needs drop pods if you are infiltrating most of your army)
Sounds like you have a solid army in mind, I would just be wary of infiltrate it can be a double edged sword if you use it incorrectly (like I did in the above example, why did I think being 18" away from a carnifex on turn 1 was a good thing?)
"Honor and Vengeance! For The Emperor, on the last day!
i would take flesh over stell and die standing.
with flesh you dont really take drop pods since they take up a fast attack slot so that's not so bad.
then you can take any two advantages you want.
so get blessed and aonothe rone you like
and indeed be careful with infiltrate, getting close can be rather nasty (both ways) though deploying last rocks (especially on devies:yes: )
