Do you think it would be too unfluffy if i painted my Iron hands inner part of the shoulder pad a steelish color. Cuz IMO it makes the marine look more mettailic. Opinions please and thank you.
greetings brother i cant see any reason why you couldnt , it seems to me that with the iron hands obsession with "flesh being weak" something that will emphasise their lust/devotion to their bionics cant hurt .
Unfluffy? Wouldn't painting things metal make it if anything MORE fluffy, seeing as they are Iron Hands and are ment to have lots of steel and silver metallics painted all over them.
Id say go for it, if it looks good than paint it up that way!
alright thanks guys that was kinda my thoughts too. I also just remembered something....sometimes a different company of a chapter has a different color shouilder pad than an other company so thats another excuse. Basically here's how my marines are painted now:
Mithril silver trim of the shoulder pads with a Steel plate(reaper color) inside the shoulder pads. Red bolters and teh bottoms of all the legs steel again. the chest eagle is mithril with a black wash other it. thats pretty much the basics. tell me what you think. Also I would love to post pics of my models but unfortunatley i don't have a digi camera.
Sounds like a great paint lay out. If for nothing else just to make yours unique. Good job and tell anybody that gives you greif to bugger off.
breath, sight, squeeze.
