Heya, I recently decided to start WH army.. this thingy -- Simulacrum Imperialis, the explanation given on the codex is a shrouded mystery to me.
It says it "..allows a faithful unit to.." (dont want the post to get deleted :x ), does it mean ANY unit or only the unit that has it? Because it also suggests that only 1 simulacrum can be used per turn? Please shed some light for me..
Nekochen, welcome to the WH forum on LO! It takes an undeniable amount of hardcoredeness to play a WH army and I'm sure that no matter what your question the players here will help you out with it. Now, as for your question about Simulacrum Imperialis, it gives you one extra d6 to roll when you attempt an act of faith. I don't think it's a once per turn thing, however. If you really want to see how it works, remember that Seraphim get this ability for free. And yes, it's only for the unit that has the SI in it.

You only get the extra dice for 1 faith roll per player turn, meaning you could get 3 dice for an act on your turn and then again on your opponent's turn for the unit with the simulacrum, but that's it.
The Seraphim do indeed get it for free, but only if you upgrade the sister superior to a veteran.
I was under the impression that each unit with a SI can roll one extra dice per turn for an act of faith, not just once per turn for the whole army...
It's only once per turn for each unit with the SI. The codex has it all
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Ahh, ok then. Well even though it's only once per turn, it's still useful.

Ahh I see.. thanks
BTW, I played my first game of WH yesterday against a Chaos nightlord friend (1000pt).. totally buried him in with the Guidance faith power (Exorcist didnt do much though wasted 3 turns shooting at his defiler and finally killed it on the 3rd turn), although my immolator didnt have a chance of getting into action before it was blown into pieces by his Havoc squad tank-hunters... :x 4 Auto-cannons 8 shots penetrating on 3+.
Any tip on how to use Rhino + Immolator more effectively against an army of lots and lots of autocannons + rocket launcher?
