This is a bout the title of the post. Do you use them and if so which ones?
The deamon hunter saround here don't. And from what I see they are very limited.I might take the shield one if I know I would face a deamon bomb, but that is about it.
Well, psychic powers are hard to use and only used in certain circumstances, mostly against daemmons like destroy daemon, banishment etc. Hammer hand doubles the strenght but it only counts as a ccw, so i would rather ahve a str 6 force/power wep holocaust is risky as you hit yourself as well as others, even with termies ones are rolled often, trust me
word of the emporer is used to stop people from attacking you by making them make a save, if they fail it, they can assault, sanctuary pushes damons 3'' away from you, so none of these are really that useful.
My personal favorite adn the only one I use is scourging, i like assault d6 weps
no one here really likes the psychic powers, they are not used often, but against daemon heavy armies, these powers excel! hope I helped, Mustardknight.
The gold grey knight man. These are hardy men who like cheese.
Ever thought of how cheese was found?:
`` I say sah, the milk in this barrel smells foul!``
``Oooohhh, give it a go!``
''Quack, damn you!''

I don't use the powers, but have experimented with scourging before. IT works alright, but generally a psycannon gets the job done much better with twice the range. holocaust is decent if used properly, but don't expect it to work wonders for you.
Et imperator Invocato Diabolus Daemonica Exorcist!
I plan on using an independent character inquisitor in a unit of stormtroopers, and was considering either word of the Emperor or Holocaust, probably the latter since Word seems a bit of a long shot.. but the possibility of a rapid fire without a subsequent charge is a nice one.
Since the stormtroopers are likely to die when they get into close combat anyway, the dowsides of holocaust seem somewhat minimal. It could be a fun way to deliver a farewell middle finger to any attacker (note.. I don't suggest a literal middle finger, that's not sporting.)
The bad news is that marines will still laugh it off.. but I can always remove it when fighting them, since it requires no modelling.
Whenever I play against Chaos I always give my BC/GM the destroy daemon power, it solidifies a death for daemons in combat with my HQ! Other than that, I don't use any powers as they don't help in many circumstances...
5th E Sand(Grey) Knights: 11-3 (retired) 5th E Eldar: 37-4 (retired) 5th E Wolves 5-0
i use psyker power on inq but not much else, the deamon ones are generly a waste.
hammerhand is on par with a powerfist, thay both dubble str, but the powerfist ignores armor and striks at int 1. hammerhand gives bonus for 2nd hand weapon but that is not its true benifit, with hammerhand you strike in int order, and it costs much less. but you still need to make the test.
i like word alot, on a shooty inq one last round of shooting can mean a lot.
scourging is nice but i like the psycannon more relieibule.
holocost is ok, but thats it just ok.
That is funny man, very good, made me chuckle.Originally Posted by The_Giant_Mantis
I like Hammerhand if I am playing a tank heavy army, but only for that. Other than that Holocost is good against hoard armies likes Orks and 'Nids, but no one else really.
