Where the hell have you all come from!!!!
I remember when I was the only sob player on this site, now everytime I come online the sob thread domminate my 'view new posts' search results almost more than any other army on this site.
I have foure xplanations for this:
1) Librarium Online has just so happened got a lot of new sob members on reccently.
2) Librarium Online has become such a large site it was just bound to get some sob players now and then.
3) The news of witchhunters makes the sisters grow in popularity.
4) I'm converting the World!!!!
Well its obviously the most practicall answer is number 4. About time too! Mwhahahaha, I have you all in palms of my hands!!! The world is mine, MINE I SAY! ALL MINE! KILL GEORGE BUSH! BURN WIGS! EAT ICE CREAM! AND DIE< DIE< DIE!!!!!!!
ummmm, yeah, i need help
Well, I am a new SoB-player and I chose SoB because
1. I like the macho women with guns style
2. I like a challenge
3. Not to many people play them
4. I don´t like the other armies except tyranids and sometimes tau
5. I can complain all day long when I loose because they are hard to play
So here we go.
Your evil Sister, BUT YES KILL GOERGE BUSH!!
I started sisters because I saw that barely anyone plays them and for the challenge. Another thing my freind was talking to someone wo works at GW the other day and he said sisters suck and now it is my duty to paint and build up my sisters quickly so that I can annihlate that heathen! Happy Birthday Sister!

NUNS WITH GUNS!!! need i say more
the whole ethos behind them is fantastic , i started playing them in the last edition solely cause they are hard to play with against certain armies (ie cc dominated ones) & eldar (damn starcannons), and no-one else played with them
p.s. sis im getting my digi camera soon so watchout for pics on a certain conversion, and my ecleasial palace
WARMASTER of the SCHOLA PROGENIUM Alnwick Chapter (soon to be the world)
Most likely would be 4. Gotta admit though, I'm ready and waiting for codex Ordo: Hereticus.
Ze titles yez...
When in doubt,
Smite.<SilverMane> I would trust BID with my life
<SilverMane> HEIL BID!
<Adrian-> BiD is Omnipotent; All Knowing, All Powerful!
<Scary_Troopers> I see you as an optimist, GT. : D
But what of the midgets!?

Well . . . I play Dark Eldar right now. When I started playing 40K, I asked what was the hardest faction to play, and they said Dark Eldar. Later, after I learned a bit more about the game, I found that a lot of people think that Sisters are impossible to win with. I looked at the basic stat line vs. the cost and thought that Sisters are very probably the best value in the game as far as fighting ability for the price goes. So, I started buying sisters minis, thinking that I'd make them my next army "someday." Then, news of the Witchhunters codex came out and, well, I decided it was high time to build that sisters army. Here I am.
So: Sisters are generally thought of as weak, so winning with them is more of a challenge; I like the challenge of trying to bend the army list to maximize on the advantages that I see (more bang for the buck); and finally, nuns with guns is just too cool.
Ive been interested in sisters for awhile, but now I have my guard to a good standard size wise and I know they are not being discontinued, (I was told by someone ) I decided to join up.
I think that they are very funky and I like the idea of winning against people with them, as I can get more bragging rights.
I ALMOST got SOB instead of the Tau,
I did not get them for a few main reasons
1.Lack of codex, (no speical rules, units, or fluff)
2.All Pewter and metal models (quite a tad more expensive)
3.Not enough units (I lack a bit more than 6 units, unless more were released)
4.Just to plain Militant, (then again, all Imperial units are)
but with the new Witchunter codex coming ot, I kinda feel bad for not waiting, maybe ill get them once my Tau have gotten strong enough, They seem to be abe to whoop up a large amount of damage, and they are female Space marines, (or their equal).
OK for my 2p:
I have been playing since one of the guys I was at school with went on work experiance to GW and got hold of a beta release of first Ed before it was published. Never played sisters intil last year my son and step son both wanted to play 40 K, I beat them with consumate ease with eldar and marines so went shopping for a different army, having stopped briefly at night lords - I largely enjoy the painting nowerdays - and once agian wopped their buts, I went for sisters because tbey were not widely used and do not lend themselves to power gaming - quite the reverse they are very hard to win with comparably. bought the first SoB at Conflict Bristol last summer and started then, since that point, playing once a week on average - my son has beaten me twice in 3 way conflict (both times because my step sons necrons went for me and I had in sufficient left to pan my Sons JNurgles within the time frame, although in both cases one more turn would have given me victory, and 3we have had about 3 draws, this gives them encouragement and keeps them interested
Everything you have been told is a lie!
