im relatively new to the IG side of the game (veteran SM and nids player though) and i had a few questions related to counterattacking...
i know for space marines the hidden power fist is a big part of most squads that you expect to see combat....does it work the same with guard or do they go squish before i can be used? (specifically in the case of officer squads which might need to do some counterattacking)
2nd, in terms of a unit which can charge in and slow up/repel anyone who makes it to the guards lines...what is the verdict on ogryns and rough riders? are they worth their points or should i jsut focus on more guns...
If you plan to use a powerfist, stick it on a commissar as they are not independent characters, power swords are a safe bet on officers, ogryns aren't very good, they die way to easily, I have never tired roughriders but people seem to like them
Hope that helps.
In an Imperium of a million worlds, what is the death of one world in the cause of purity?
He who allows the alien to live,
shares its crime of existence.
unless you have serios infantry numbers or roughriders its generally best to avoid CC all together.
Where there's a will there's a weapon
i wasnt planning on initiating it but often times it still happens
