this was on another thread where BiD clearly mentioned that chaos are allowed fluffwise to have a bolter and CCw even without true grit(of course, the bolter actually representing a BIG bolt pistol )
my question is.
can i do this on my storm claws, as i am tired at looking at tiny little guns and i just want them to look better (i am not actually changing the weapon, but only the looks )
i dont know about SW but the Space Marine codex clearly states that a model may be armed with either:
2 one-handed weapons (such as a pistol and CCW)
1 one-handed weapon and 1 two-handed weapon (such as a bolter and CCW)
If i am wrong about this please let me know but i dont think i am.
I dont see why you couldnt just slap some normal bolters on there to make them look cool. But im not sure if you could use them in a tournament
I think logan grimmnar is asking more of a modeling question, not a rule question Brain365.
Yes I think it would be all right to arm them with bolters in one hand representing pistols, except for one circumstance:
If some of your units have 'true grit' and use bolters one handed, then it would be too confusing to your opponent to tell them; "These units have one handed bolters without true grit, but these ones have on handed bolters and true grit."
So if all your bolt pistol troops are modeled with bolters in one hand representing pistols, and you tell your opponent they are all pistols, it should be no problem. If you have a mix of troops with different weapons/abilities, but they are modeled the same, then it's not good.
thx wolfraider that was the answer i was looking for
