Is it high toughness or good save that protects the best? An ork (T4, 6+ Sv) can't take that much fire, but still more that an imperial guardsman (T3, 5+ Sv). Or? But when it comes to the storm troopers (Sv 4+) it's a different story. I know A LOT of weapons are AP 5 and that's probably the main reason. But of the following two, what's the best?
Thoughness 4, 5+ save
Thoughness 3, 4+ save
Can't come up with something at T4, 5+ Sv, but anyway...
well i dont really count toughness much if it isnt at least 5 or more
so imo i would say save is better
I would have to go with the Save because even with the 4 T you can still get hit by alot of stuff
It depends on the attack. If it's a good AP attack, then your armor's toast so a high T is better. If the attack has a high S, but weaker AP, then a good T is better. Against powerful attacks with a good AP (meltagun, lascannon, railgun, etc) then the individual trooper is crispy no matter what. Then its definitly better to have a good save, but only if it's invulnerable.
Playing sisters of battle has made me long for a toughness 4 trooper! the 3+ armor save just isn't enough!
