OK so I'm going up against a guy in my club on Monday with my new Deathwing army. It's 1500 pts vs Orks. His army seems to have lots of Boyz and a few Trukks and a Battlewagon.
My army has:
1 Codicier with Command Squad (2ACs) and Drop Pod
3 x 5 Man Term Squads with 2ACs
1 Dread with TLLC and ML
1 Dread with PC and ML
So its numbers versus firepower - any tips?
Just get to a good position and stay there. As he comes in blast the closest foes to you.
That's all I can do.

And now its gonna be Cities of Death too....
I think whats important is to:
Give your codicer F.O.T.D
and keep in mind that termies can move and fire. Dont just sit manouvere so its harder for the ork player.

ok, your going to be happy because as soon as his boys bet into combat with your termies, you get 4+ saves. if they have choppas.... so shoot the f#%k out of them and walk backwards and shoot, MAKE SURE HE DOSENT GET INTO COMBAT WITH YOU!!! always stay
13" apart no matter what! then he cant charge you, but you can shoot the crud out of him.
One other lesson that an amazing number of people seem to forget - if you're shooty and they're assaulty, climb. Climb like the blazes - doesn't hurt your range any, and gives him another couple of turns to get at you.
Since you're Deathwing, you can climb and shoot at the same time (Cities of Death and all) and another important thing to consider taking stratagem-wise is Booby-traps. It's all well and good in many cases, but really comes into its own when the enemy's trying to get to you. Sit on the top floor and lace the lower floors with them, if any of his unit gets close in enough that you're in danger of being charged, start triggering them.
Another thing to consider to slow them down (which is all you really need to do) is razorwire, though Orks have Gretchin to deal with things like that.

So stratagems would be Booby Traps and Razorwire plus one other....
Maybe: Medical Facility - make my termies rock hard?
or How about Demolitions? Wipe out a building near the area i plan to fight hoping some Boyz will hide in there?

fear of the darkness is pointless against orks as they still get their mob size against it. You have to obliterate a squad to tiny numbers and once you've done that their morale is irrelevant anyway.
Best advice I've seen is just walk backwards and shoot. Battle wagons are easy to take out with assault cannons so he will never catch your more maneuverable troops.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
Fury of the Ancients would be better as I believe Orks can still be pinned despite mob check size. Not sure on that though. Keep them 24 inches away fom you always. You don't want to get trapped backing into a corner so make wide use of the buildings. Razorwire and Booby traps sound like good strategems.
