Somewhat new to Warhammer. I started in Jan of this year and my group meets about 1x per month and I have a perfect loss record. Can I get some constructive criticism on my list. It has to be balanced as we allow 1 roster per GamesDay so it has to work against Tau, Chaos, Tyranids, Eldar and Dark Eldar.
My pet peeve is the Eldar's Dark Reaper squad... 4 reapers, Heavy2 ignores my armor. Usually wipes out a full squad of mine each turn. I intend to use the Dreadnought as long range fire. Hopefully kill 1 or more and force a leadership test.
Please note, I'm still pretty new and don't have many Vehicles.
Models I have but are not used in this list (you can suggest them) are:
Master/Captain, Storm Bolter, PFist
Terminators (several +1AC, 1HF, 1ML)
More Assault Marines
More Marines (2 Melta, 3 PGun, 4Flamer, 1HB, 1PC)
2 more speeders (1 Tornado, 1 Regular)
1 More Dread.

Tactical Squad 4 - Flamer

Space marines are a good introduction to WH40K, SM's are a good all around army. Kudos on your choice.
Your list seems to be sound, but just a few suggestions, unless your fighting a heavily mechanized force, leave the heavy weapons off of your tact squads. youll be too tempted to not move them around so you can shoot. But if you have your heart set on them, look into the chapter traits that allow your tact squads to infiltrate. Same thing with the Devestator squads. (You should read the Devestator Tactica, there is ALOT of good info on them)
Instead of 3 tact squads of 5, take 2 of 8-10. If your gonna count on your heavy weapons, your gonna need the wounds.
Why have a lone Librarian with a jump pack? Even with a retinue, a Chaplin is alot better for an assault.
The land speeders are golden, I use 3 of them with ACs, I always get my points back.:shifty:
Drednoughts are good for either shooting or CC, but I use mine for looking menecing, alot of people are afraid of Dreadnougts, so keep the DCCW and the Twin las cannon, and put it out there to soak up fire.
It is really hard to come up with a tournament list when there are so many different races getting in on it. There really is no 'master' list. The only advice I can give is pay attention to the other players, and watch how they play. Everyone loses alot at first. Just relax and have fun.

your drop pod tac squad can pop a tank the round it lands 6" from a tank, then assault the nearest squad. Use the Drop Pod!! It rocks!! If u dont have one PROXY!!!!!!!
Your Jump pack troop can deep strike, or hop across the field behind cover. They can take out a tank if needs be.
Your LS can deep strike or zip around behind cover, tearing up any troop formations or popping a vehicle if it can be behind it.
Your dread and pop vehicles with teh TLLC, or walk to the fight.
Your dev squad is good on anything.
Your shooty tac squad should be set up in front of your dev squad, forcing a leadership test to shoot your devs and providing a screen should anyone come to assault your devs.
Some people might say this is giving too many squads mixed missions, but if you only have one or two units that can assault or pop a tank, and you lose one or both, you are in a very tight spot! You might want to drop one marine somewhere to give the chaplain terminator honors (an extra attack)
Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Hmmm.... your list is okay but a few things suck. For one, you should never put a flamer on a squad that only moves 6" (unless it has a drop pod and even then you will only get one shot), and heavy weapons suck unless you use a devestator squad. The lib is okay but you might want to switch him out for a chappie, barebones librarians aren't the most useful HQ (long live 200+pts librarians!) of course you can't afford to use an expansive HQ so the chappie is best. (in small armies only). Maybe add the other Dreadnought and use them in drop pods (or at least one of them). Finally for all the squads that need 'Pods they aren't hard to make so just find a 'how to make a Drop Pod' thread and follow it as Drop Pods rule.

What's the matter? couldn't wait that one extra click? Army lists go in the nice big buttoin saying in clear writing "ARMY LISTS". They go there.
Sorry, but I only rate army lists in the proper place.
Post your army lists in the ARMY LIST section! Not that hard!
