i was wondering if the 2nd man in the heavy weapons team can fire his lasgun. obviously one guy is using the heavy weapon but what about the other guy?
the other guy is armed with a lasgun like anyother guardsmen. He gets to shoot his lasgun as well. Just pretend that he shoots his gun after reloading or help take the gun around.

i was wondering, if a hvy weapons team is shot at and takes a wound, does only one of the guys die or the whole two man team
Just the one: the big base is purely scenic.
Correction, the big base is purely stupid.
I hate the big bases... and especially the GW justification of them... "for ease of movement" my hairy ass... If you try placing them on anything but a flat surface, you're in trouble. Walking between two buildings? Sorry, base is lame... Ordnance fire? Sorry... base is lame...
I'm putting my heavies on separate regular size bases when possible. Most of my older heavies don't even have a base. =)
I agree, the big bases suck, especially when you take a casualty..what are you suppose to do ? Also if you don't use big bases you can make like 15 heavy weapons from a pack... The one good thing is I got 3 mortar teams on one big base, so its kinda good for that...unless a template weapon hits...

I think the only value is aesthetic; they do look nice. We just imagine there being a round base under each crewman, and that's what you need to hit. Fortunately my terrain is mostly individual jungle trees, so movements not too bad.
I don't really like the new bases. Sure it makes it easier to move, but in open terrain. But I still think they look cooler then the old ones on wheels. I thought that was gay.
When goblins blow themselves up its stupidity. But when humans blow themselves up its bravery....odd isn't it
i agree that was retarted, damnit ill have to dissasemble mine r sumtin
