So, this is just kind of a goof off thread, I just wanted to see what kind of wierd IG armies you guys run... I'll start.
I'm currently running an IG "counts as" army, so I use IG stats, but it is actually an Adeptus Mechanicus army. I have veterans as my ballistiarii, and grenadiers as my skitarii. THen, I have 2 hellhounds, as hellhounds, and my HQ is a junior officer with HO, and gear to make him look like a techpriest. So that's 936 points. I wanted to make a 1500 Cities of Death army, so I then decided to do the other 564 points in Kroot mercenaries.
SO, in total, I have a counts as IG army with about 40 attached kroot mercenaries, that are geared up for a cityfight situation.
WHat aabout wierd armies you guys use?
TSg.t Zakarius Clay
142nd Cadian, Stationed Planet Skyfall B
4th Brigade, 1st Battalion, 1st Co.
'The Pathfinders', Drop Team - 6
Pssst.... give me kudos....
If you check mine out in the army lists you can see I have a "Pyromaniacs" regiment. I am pretty sure no one else did this/mentioned this kind of flaming scoundrel army, so I am hoping it is as unique and innovative as can be.
Well one of my (far too many) planned armies is a count as rebel grot army. Basicly just hordes of the little guys with cameleoline and an assortment of nasty devices. OO and ratling snipers, course would be snotling snipers but hey. I'm not the first to come up with the idea, but I plan to have mine all dressed up to look like imperials. Commisar hats, trenchcoats, autoguns and an assortment of other guard gear.
