It's important to have mobile units capable of counterattacking in your IG army.
To be honest, I have no logical reason, just personal preference.
"Every day above ground is a good day"
I say Armoured Fist company because, you get more gaurdsmen than Ogryns and more fire power than Ogryns and Rough Riders.
My mind said Armoured FIst, but my heart said Ogryn. The little story about that Ogryn in the Imperial Guard codex cracks me up every time.
Yeah, but it's a shame that Col. Griess had to suffer while the Ogryn spent 20min hauling the Chimera when he could have just got the medi-pack in 30sec.
i haven't tried using ogryns yet but due to the guards lack of really effective assault troops it seems like they would help out in a counter attack more than 10 guys trying to kill a marine with pocket knives or something, plus they have what 15 total wounds and you can take 10 wounds before losing a single guy ...right
Yeah, but in my expirience the opponent always aims for the cheap APCs cause supossedly, thats where all the nasty stuffs hidden.
even if it was destroyed all of them would have like one wound at most and thats why you keep it behind cover as you go forward or just use smoke launchers and stuff, and they wouldnt know there are orgyns in it necessarily
Do you have to tell opponents what is in vehicles?
And Chimeras are probs less of a target than a Leman Russ tank. Take BA for example, they work effectively with Rhinos, do they not?
At my gaming club we have to due to the fact that the Ogryns can be in one Chimera then suddenly they are in another Chimera on the other side of the board.
