How exactly can u Deep Strike onto a model or next to a model carrying a teleport homer
and then set out your guys in circles around the first model with out landing up all over the unit carrying the homer?and getting wiped out?
on pg 18 of the codex it mentioned a "template"...what template ?
as you can tell never used DS yet.
new player playing other new players using codex and rulebook and getting confused..
The issue here is that the rules about Deepstriking have changed since the DH codex was released. Page 84 of the core rulebook details how to Deepstrike now, at least how to do it without a Teleport Homer.
To make things even more complicated, the rules for Teleport Homers have also changed, with the release of the new SM codex. Basically they work as their entry in the DH codex says, except that you do NOT center the incoming unit over the model carrying the TP Homer. Now, you place the incoming unit's first model anywhere within 6" of the TP Homer, and then proceed from there as normal.
Oh, and no templates are used anymore, that was in 3rd edition. If your core rulebook says otherwise, you've got the old one!
makes sense now
seemed wierd now all cleared up
