i was wondering if i should buy these or not, but im not sure if there worth it, advice plz?
It depends...what kind of army do you play? If you use them right, they're pretty good.
Yes. No really special rules, but so many attacks when used correctly (Power Weapon) can be devestating. Coupled with a good statline, the trade off for such modest special rules, makes a good unit.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>another annoying thing i hate: 47,000 similies in one post. just thoght id throw that in there and see if anybody else hates it as much as i do.</div>
Ive read a battle report with death cult assasin in it and the opponent was ulthwe eldar. For 40 points, you can tie up a squad for some time, not to mention destroying lighter squads with it. If you run it in guard, eldar, dark eldar (just talking about basic units here), and kill 5-6 guys, youve basically bought back your points and keep them from shooting at your other squads. Not to mention its infiltrate ability and inv save, its well worth the points. Not to mention, death cult has the highest initiave in DH i believe (dont have the book with me). That upper initiative gets you either fighting first or at same time. Just maker sure that if you go simaltaneously, you take out more than your worth.
My book isn't handy, so I have to ask this question about DC assassins: Do you need an =][= Lord, an =][=, or just a DH army to get them? Because right now I'm playing a pure-GK force (well, pure as in no inquisitors), and was thinking about adding some DC's in.
Well you need a =][=, or a =][= Lord..
On paper, the Death Cult dont seem to be that good. More or less like a Lone Space Marine Terminator without the infamous 2+ save. However I have never played the Death Cult so I may be wrong.
I think they would be pretty good for charging the bascic troops and heavy support units at the back such as broadsides and eldar support weapons. The only downfall is that they have a pretty crumby save for their points worth.

Word up..........DC assassins act indupendantly on the battle field so although you buy three in the squad, and you place tham all at once, you dont have to keep them in formation and ech act like a character. This does not seem that great but because they act independantly they can also only be targeted independantly so you can use three of them close together but only one can be targeted by a squad. I use them as body guard for my Eversor and Cullexus assassins. Booyar!
A Rhino? SLOTH!
i dont think they are overly great but if you write a list with some points spare its a good thing just to slip in

hey guys, just some quick things to think about with deathcult. we all know how bad i am at rules, but i just recently bought the new software put out by games workshop " the armies of the imperium" to help me build army list. according to this software you dont need an inquisitor of any kind to field deathcult assassins in your army. they only count as an elite choice.and in the codex it looks the same. once again please check this out for yourself dont take my word for it, but according to the sofware you can field assassins in your pure gk force without an inquisitor. as far as how i use em in my army, they are great support for my fast attack grey knights with a high ini and great attack power they can really take care of the normal units. plus ive noticed that they are really awesome at getting rid of the harrassment units some armies employ ( gun drones, imp guard units, space marine scout squads) well thats my two cents. good luck
