In a cityfight, since everything gets the 4+ cover save for being in ruins, would it be best to arm a Tank-Hunting sentinel with an autocannon instead of a lascannon? I know you scarafice a lot by going with the lower stregnth, but would the two shots make enough of a difference with the cover save to make it worth it?

Well with the scout move you could get a few shots at the side armour of tanks but if your worryed about cover saves then why not get a anti-tank squad with 3 lascannons as they get a nice cover save too but sentinels dont have a save like that.
Give them a heavy flamer as flamer weapons are more powerful in city fight
"Hey sarge, this lasgun is heavy. I wish we had something lighter."
FF7: ABOUT RANDOM BATTLES
I think it all depends on what tanks you see yourself facing. Against lower armour tanks, such as Dark Eldar, Squadrons of Land Speeders, perhaps Tau and Eldar an Autocannon would probably be more effective. However, if you're going up against another IG player, or you think you may be up against a Necron player with a Monolith or a Land Raider, then the Lascannon would be your better bet. Do you know who you'll most likely be up against? If so tell us and I'm sure that will heavilly influece what we think would be the best way to go.
Personally I like having Autocannons in my Infantry Squads because I find they are complimented by Grenade Launchers very well. They can deal with lightly armoured vehicles as well as medium infantry very well (and if I go up against Marines I have Lasguns to see me through. What are you sniggering at?) I leave the big game (tank) hunting to my Sentinels armed with Lascannons. Cityfight might change my thinking, but I still think I'll stick with my Lascannon toting walkers.
do you get a 4+ save for vehicles in cityfight? otherwise it's senseless to get an autocannon for tank hunting.
Nar, you use the normal rules, plus a couple of clarifications. So all a vehicle can get is a hull down roll. As to wether or not you use a lascannon or autocannon, well, that really depends on the rest of your army.do you get a 4+ save for vehicles in cityfight? otherwise it's senseless to get an autocannon for tank hunting.
My sentinels are all armed with heavy flamers and armoured crew compartments.
Unless, of course, you are actually referring to the older 'cityfight' rules, instead of the new 'cities of death' rules, in which case I have no idea.
