Hey all! I was interested in probably buying some tanks for an armored company that I have in mind but I wondered if you guys know that the tanks Chimera, Leman Russ, Hellhound and even the Demolisher have the front plow that has spikes on them? I looked at the Gamesworkshop site and they seem to be stubbed. If you don't know what I mean then take a look at the links for example....
Ones with Spikes
One with no Spikes
Thanks for the feedback!
I'm pretty sure that the spiked ones came from the accessory sprue in the original models. When the new codex was released GW updated many of the kits, which now have the stubby plows. Not to worry, i bet that any IG veteran would have a few bits lying around. I'm certainly not a person who buys a lot but even I have three.
I have a friend that gave me some of the old sprues with those still attached. If you'd like to take them off my hands, shoot me a pm, and I'll let you know how many I have.

You can also just make the spikey bits with a piece of plasticard or cardboard... glue it on and you are good. I also play armored company and not a single one of my tanks has the plow upgrade. I do have a few of the old one and I have to admit the new ones are bigger, thickers, and actually look like they would work with some limited hydrolics on their blade unlike the old one.
