Since i dont watnt huge guard army is it possible to join guard with any of these two armys. If so please tell me where to find these rules.
It is not possible to ally with spacemarines but it is possible to ally with grey knight the rules are found in the daemonhunters codex Hope that helped.

You cant ally with marines but you can with demon hunters, as for the info get the codex
Gery kinghts are good allronnders with powerful close combat attcks at S6 and come with a strom bolter but arnt cheap in points, they aslo have a rule that makes it hard to hit them so they are useful but i like a pure guard focre myself
The only marines you can ally with are deathwatch kill teams for an HQ. They run around 300pts for a good squad and the rules can be found in White dwarf.

thanks cosmos i like pure guard my self to
thanks muttle you told me the rules
thanks helbreacht for how i can use marines
Just remember when using Grey Knights, daemons get sustained attack, which isn't a big deal if your playinga nonchaos/daemon having army, but if you are... guardsmen cannot take daemons like grey knights. Of course not many people use daemons so your probally in the clear.
In an Imperium of a million worlds, what is the death of one world in the cause of purity?
He who allows the alien to live,
shares its crime of existence.
Question: If I wanted to add a squad of GK in my guard army as fast attack, would I need to get an inquisitor or no? I.e. would I need to buy another HQ unit to allow me to use the GK as FA.
No you dont need anything to use gray kinghts but they still take a fast attack choice up
