Am i reading the codex correctly, a land raider cannot be taken as a transport option for a HQ choice with command squad?
Yes, you read correctly. The only command squads which may take a Land Raider as a transport are: Terminators, Ultramarines Honour guard when used as a command squad, and Black Templars (they use an LRC).
There you go.
Post your army lists in the ARMY LIST section! Not that hard!
 Mance! is correc you cannot Land Raider a transport for a command squad.
However if you have access to Imperial Armour 2 you will see that you can take a Land Raider Prometheus as a Tranport for your command squad. This vehicle is death on tracks to AP4 or less Infantry. It has 4 twin linked heavy bolters, the number of die you get to re roll isamazing this vehicle should be compulsory as an HQ choice.
The Prometheus is an amazing tank. I'm planning on getting one for my Command squad.
Just thinking about it makes me grin.
People who don't know how to use artillery are using artillery, and that scares me. -TacJack
Bring out the Bikes!
I've previously noted that the new codex has really cut down on the LR access. In the previous edition it was possible to field up to 6 LR's. One of the things that really tweeks my hind end is that you cant take a LRC as an option for your Termies. Talk about a real bite, the only way you can field a LRC is as a Heavy choice on the FOC.
breath, sight, squeeze.
now double tap just for grins
and Another One bite's the dust.
A bolter round for all that oppose the Emperor.
Sorry? only 6? Try DA Deathwing, 17 LRs can be taken, 3rd or 4th Ed, although only 1 LRCOriginally Posted by Chaplain Stephen
