I was playing IG the other day and was wondering do the Heavy Weapons Squads count as having two guardsman on the mound or it is just counted as "One" guy? If anyone could explain to me how it works that would be great!
A heavy weapon crew is made up of two men and the only reson there on the same base is to make it easier to move them
That and when mounted on the same base the Heavy Weapons Team look that much cooler :shifty:. It really isn't an advantage to have them mounted on the same base; it just makes it that much easier to hit more models with templates. Having said that, I went with them myself because they just look so awesome.
If you prefer the look of just one model with a heavy weapon on a smaller base then by all means use it. It's optional whether or not to use a larger base with two models mounted on it. And KOS-MOS is correct, they count as 2 models, or 2/10 of the squad (or in the case of Fire Support Squads 2/6.)
keep in mind this also means that your heavy weapon "team" essentially two wounds (one for the gunner and one for the spotter), likewise the spotter can fire his lasgun with the rest of the squad (something a lot of poeple forget to do)
S'only a lasgun...
Though unnumbered lurking perils await us, our blades will ever be ready.
FOR WE ARE THE EMPEROR'S VENGEANCE!
Soo im not getting it you actually count as two gaurdsmen firing a lasgun or just one lasgun im hella confused rofl...
The gunner fires the weapon and the loader can fire his lasgun
gotcha ok ty everyone
If you have one wound left on the platform, can you still fire the heavy weapon? Thanks
Yes you can as there two men on the same base only for moving around but one of them can take over if the other is killed
