as almost everyone here knows, metal models usually come with only the bitz necessary for construction, without extras or leftovers to fill up the bitz box. with nearly everything in the DH army list made of metal , our only sources of bitz are vehicles, and inducted forces, which i doubt everyone has a huge stockpile of. My point is, most DH players have a very small bitz box (including myslef), and was wondering if there was any way (without breaking the bank) to fatten up your bitz collection for future use.
thanks in advance.
Do some trades, lots of people will trade away old bitz they can't/never will use.
Oh, will you look at that!
Shameless advertising For The Win!
But seriously, trades are great, you can usually get more bitz than the model is worth if your a good haggler person.
I live in Vic as well, so hope to see you there. I will be playing of course.:shifty:Originally Posted by Stormie

I might show up... But I'd have to paint my army >< (better)
Though unnumbered lurking perils await us, our blades will ever be ready.
FOR WE ARE THE EMPEROR'S VENGEANCE!
I also find that aquiring the right bitz is a problem.....
One solution is forgeworld.com the only problem is that any order beneath 250 pounds (about $600 AUS) requires postage and handling to be paid.
For example...i want a plasma cannon arm for my dreadnought but it doesnt come in the space marines dreadnought box and have you ever tried converting a dreadnought arm from a handheld plasma cannon?....a lot of putty and a lot of mess.
So i would suggest simply hanging around Games-Workshop stores.....people spend a lot of time just gluing models together in there....simply ask for spare bits, ask friends, or you can even try ebay, some people sell bits because they know how much we need them!
Meh, my bits box is moderatly sized. Filled with SM vehicle, chaos, imperial gaurd stuff.
I thought the title was irony....
I' having a three day adventure trying to sort my bitz out. I play chaos (40K) however and we get tons of extra stuff.
Think outside the box, I have also found that if you buy a box other then "your" army you can find many great bitz in it. For DH, try some SM-box, I think the commander has a lot of little things that goes well with DH. Maybe even some of the Fantsy boxes offer good value (Bretonnia & Empire comes to mind).
And as stated, swapping is a great way to gain what you want.
If there is something in particular you can always PM me, chances are I have it.
all you have to do is buy a set of sm and not build them and take the bitz :ninja:Originally Posted by arishnakoger

That is an option yes, but an expensive one.
I wanted two thunderhammer/storm shield kits for a couple of my grey knights and everyone i knew playing space marines simply refused to part with their bits or didnt want to buy a SM assault termie squad......
As a result i now have one myself....a good $65 i could have spent on GK for two thunderhammers and storm shields.
