Hello to one and all.
Have any of you ever used deathwatch in your army? I am considering getting some and using them in my "vanilla" marines army, mostly for anti-tyranid.
I would like to know what you think of these guys and if you have any good tactica on them.
I was planning on using a captain and 10 veteran marines all with helfire rounds.(i think that is their name) Mostly I wanted them to shoot, but if favorable or nessesary curcumstances appeared I wanted them to be great in combat too. What do you think? It is looking quite expensive and I'm not sure if it is worth it.
Thank you much.

Valhallan 23rd Imperialist Guard: ~6,000 pts

BA SM: ~1500 pts
I use them very little, except for upgrading a veteran sergeant from my TYBB squad to be a member.
Greetings from Planet X, I hope you enjoy your day.

I've seen them be used and have used them myself, and overall, I'm not really very impressed with them.
Their upgrades are so numerous that they're VERY tempting to take, which makes the squad very, very expensive. If I were to take a Deathwatch Kill Team, mine would look something like this:
4 bolter marines
1 heavy bolter
1 with power fist
Anything more makes this squad WAY too expensive. Special Ammo of any kind should probably be avoided unless you can find a way to protect your Deathwatch from enemy fire, as they die just as easily as a normal Space Marine (usually faster, since your opponent knows how valuable they are ((in points, I mean )) and will gun for them first if possible.
Way too expensive for my blood.
