Okay I play necrons and want to start playingt a different army I was thinking deamon or witch leanin more to the witch hunters. So I have searched the internet and this forum and have found very little about them and what they are good at and units they can get.
I wouyld really like to know what witch hunters can get from other armies such as the guard. And what you guys like about them.
And if you can send me a link to a good site so I can read up on them I would appreciate it.
The Witch Hunters (or more exactly Adeptas Sororitas) specialise in a devastating mid range shooting phase making use of many special weapons(Retributors, Battle Sisters, Immolators, Dominions) while the Inquisitorial side of Witch Hunters is more about uncontrolable close combat (Penitent engines, Arco's, assassins).Honestly this is difficult to answer as anyone who tries will be dancing around the copyright issue throughout thier post, and thats probably why you can't find much on them elsewhere. So I have searched the internet and this forum and have found very little about them and what they are good at and units they can get
Most of your questions can be answered by either looking at the GW website or in the Witch Hunters codex upon your next visit to a hobby store. We can't really go through what units they can get and what rules they have because of copyrights (and its a 64 page book to go through).

pretty much both armies are capable of shredding crons whitch hunters in the shooting phase and daemonhunters in close combat
both have risks however as in shooting crons are also a shooting army with toughness adantages over sisters howver sisters have their faith ie divine guidence this can really mess with your opponent and combined with a ret heavy b squad is down right evil
grey knights are beasts they can dish it out in both phases and have above average protect from shooting however they are few in number and every time one is brought down their effectivness as a whole is compromised also getting in close means they have to deal with warsythes not a ideal prospect for a model that is a minimum of 25 points!
the only good thing wh get from guard (besides massed human sheilds and a headache) is if we take 2 troops squads we get the armoured might of the lemon russ thats it really ya are better off stickin to the normal dex
daemonhunters have no use for guard whatsoever they need every point they can scrounge for more gk's they can't afford the luctury of human sheilds

Well I am planning to buy one a wh codex but I have to get it fom internet sites. I live in a small town so its just me and my friends that play. So I can't ask about witch hunters to anyone around here.
And what does normal dex mean.
I have decided on WH I still have to get the codex and want to play WH with allies and a solid base of Adeptas Sororitas units
One more question can WH take space marines.
yes, as long as no SoB models are included... fortunatly exorcists can still be chosen (i thinkkk)Originally Posted by nickle bottom
you would just have to choose from arcos, penitents, storm troopers, orbital strikes, assassins etc aswell as the inquisitor

Okay I was looking at the online stores and I thinik I have what I want.
I was going to get a cannoness two squads of Sisters of Battle 10 models each and a exorcist tank and what ever I can find on ebay thats cheap probably another squad of SOB. Does this sound okay are is there something else I should get I am playing all heavy shooty armies Tau mech, Eldar 2 wraithlords, IG bassi and Lemon, SM, except for chaos marines who are khorne, and a tyranid player.
question about the exorcist I looked on GW and can't find it. Is there a certain tank you have to buy to convert it like the rhino being able to become a razorback if you wanted one.
That the case? I play a list thats about a half/half mix of GK and Guardsmen, and it does fairly well. IG add the heavy firepower that the entire DH list lacks.Originally Posted by Plague_00
It should be there. Unfortunately it looks more like a church on wheels than a machine of death. I think for mine I'm going to either use the forgeworld variant, or a whirlwind/immolator based conversion.Originally Posted by nickle bottom
