Is Artificer armor not worth its points cost? Cuz I really like the name, and what it gives! So, whaddya say?
Extra Note: I would also like to say, that this is my 100 post. and I am proud to say that this post is here in the DaemonHunters Forum. ^_^. I would like to thank my Forum Friends, Ross, Elandili, and Inuo, for they are supportive and all are great Grand Master Inquisitors. Once again, this is my 100th post. Its magical! Its 100!! :w :w
Artificer armor is worth it, although 5 more points can get you that juicy terminator armor... However, its good for acolytes and if you really want to pursue your beaten foes. I go with the term armor for inqz though
I guess for acolytes... Lol.
Edit: I am Azazel! Lol! I love this name!
Aw, Happy 100th post!
AA armour is useful at times, its a bit cheaper then Terminator armour but also allows you to still sweeping advance and all that good stuff and if you use a retinue Sean is right, it would go well on acolytes.
I don't personally use it might however, just on my Inquisitors/Vet Storm Trooper Sarges but as of late i'v been thinking that Terminator armour would be better for the Inquisitors.
Articifer armor is useful for a couple reasons:
1) Can sweeping advance, unlike terminator armor.
2) Negates AP3 weapons.
3) Can be given to Justicars, although debatable that the slightly better save is worth the points. A refractor field is probably better for the same cost, but if you have extra points both articifer and refractor makes your justicar into a terminator! (hehe)
4) Can be useful on acolytes, although many use refractor fields or storm shields for the invulnerable saves. Typically Inquisitors are already armored in articifer or termie armor. If you need to use the acolyte to take a wound for the inquisitor, chances are it is from a power weapon, so the articifer armor won't help much.
Wow Dvang those are great reasons! Thank you!, (or) T I-I /-\ I\I I( 5 you.
If you use Termi Armour then you can't be put into a rhino, or chimera, which is really usefull. I think that AA and Icon is better, because then you don't have to but Termie and ICon (save 5 points)
Plus AA is more interesting to model than Termie Armor, b/c it can look like just about anything you want it to. And, Vaughn, happy 100th again, and now that you're a GM, no more 1337 for you! Lol.
I'm just gonna see if I can chnage around the looks of the normal power armour er wutever and add it. Cuz I can copy the AA on the Emperors Champion.
id buy a basic termie, and just convert it to look like a model ith artificer armour
