    Just a quick question

What size bases to gun models come on. 60mm, 40mm, ?.

I need to know because I'll be buying a bag of bases for conversion.

I'm assuming you mean the heavy weapon crews, which come on 60mm bases

Good luck with the conversions matey,

i find that the bases leave lots of extra room, used by nothing but rubble, adn little things that shouldnt be there, like combat knives

Thanks to the both of you, so it's 60mm.

With the conversion is it possible to use only the standard size bases and the weapon resting on the ground seperate?

I just used normal sized bases for my missile launcher guardsmen (thx to soukar)

Just put him on a normal base and he looks like hes fireing it like real life troops use it, very cool

You can do, but then joining any of the guardsmen models to the gun (firing, reloading etc) would be more difficult. The larger bases give you more modelling oppertunities as you can really go to town on all the free space you have on the 60mm ones.

    Cheers,
    Rich

even with modeling, you still have extra space, just use smaller ones so you can fit the models into smaller areas
