I've by chance got hold of 8 ogryns (for free! yeah!) My question is, when are ogryns worth fielding, at 500 pts, 1000 or at a higher number? So for, I've got a small scout army consisting of 2 squads shocks, one command group, 3 heavy weapon teams and 2 sentinels. Would the army become unbalanced if I add some ogryns?
Thanks in advance.
Well their main problem is thier save - it sucks. They do have a lot of wounds, and they are decent in melee, but the problem is them dying. Constantly. If you got them, go ahead and field them, but they might let you down a lot.
Though unnumbered lurking perils await us, our blades will ever be ready.

Before just chucking the Ogryns into the mix, you should concentrate on getting a legal army. You need a command squad for that platoon (I'm assuming the existing one is your HQ) and on top of that you need another troops choice. I suggest against conscripts on that matter.Originally Posted by Rice
