I'm considering starting guard and I have yet to find a paint scheme I like. I've checked the showcase on this site from start to finish, as well as all the stuff on GW's website and a few google searches, nothing seems to fit.
The closest I've come is two things, the first is Voyestrian scheme. I like that the armor plates are brass instead of a ceramic color like the average guard armor. However, I have yet to see a cadian guard model that had the armor painted with a metallic. Do you think brass colored armor with reddish clothing (scab red maybe) underneath would look good on a cadian guard model?
The other option is to maybe paint the armor black or regal blue, and then do a highlight by outlining the edges of the armor in a lighter color, similar to the style done here. I'm worried that that would be very time consuming though, especially in an army of 100+ models.
Any links to schems I might have missed, old WD's, etc. are also welcome.
You might find this useful imperialguard painter
Also brass armor and red fatigues seems like a pretty good scheme.

Yeah, I've played with that painter before. I'll give the scheme a shot when I get some time.
