I got some heavy support by buying a Predator for my Black Templars army...but I am not sure whether to put the autocannon on the main gun or the lascannon. I know this is mostly a personal choice but I would like to know what advantages and disadvantages there are to each gun mounted on a predator. The stats are below>>>
Autocannon__X_____X____XX"___X________ Better for anti infantry
Lascannon___X_____X____XX"___ X_ Better for anti tank and instant killing HQ/etc
By the way I already glued the two side sponsons on (lascannons)
I also considered using magnets to inter switch them but it is kind of tedious to order them online and such so if I get a solid argument I will follow through.

First of all, try to avoid posting stats unless you absolutely must, assume that we all know them.
In answer to your question, I would suggest you take the TL Lascannon as you already attached Lascannon sponsons. My opinion as to the best weapons for the predator are TL-Lascannon turret and Heavy Bolter sponsons, to add fire where needed.
Greetings from Planet X, I hope you enjoy your day.

How about instead of gluing on a turret, just paint up both and place them on there as needed? There's a nice lip that the turret will fit in nicely with no modifications, weighting, etc. Then if you change your mind, you can switch it out.Originally Posted by Castellan K.fatalias

it really depends on what u want ur army to be like; personally i always make the predator a bit focused on one job: say with all lascannons predator or with the autocannon heavy bolter predator coz it can be a waste of fire if ur too versatile; eg. whats the use of shooting at a Monolith with a heavy bolter? or shooting a twin-linked lascannon at genestealers when u can hav more kills with an autocannon?
so if ur army lacks anti-armor or anti-tank stuff then add the all lascannon (annihilator); or if u need anti-infantry use the other setup; really, dont mix them up.
Sorry about writing the stats ... I guess i just didnt read the rules close enough. Again i'm sorry and i have learned from my mistakes .
I'll just add that if you go with TLLC and HB sponsons you can move and fire all your weapons.
BTW, you really should check out using magnets, I did on my Preditor and it worked out great. Also configured it to convert to a Rhino or Razorback. I didn't have to order any magnets (although I later did for my Tau). I just pried the magnets off some name tags from work. I also saw that the local craft store, AC Moores, sells little baggies of magnets. Don't know how good they are.
The Autocannon is a terrible choice compared to the twin-linked lascannon. It has the potential to kill one more infantry model, sure, but it performs worse against heavy infantry, tanks, monstrous creatures (and the list goes on).
The very marginal increase in performance against lighter infantry (and similarly marginal drop in price) does nothing to redeem the Destructor's Autocannon turret. The Destructor is a bad tank. Play the Annihilator.
