i know the codex is about 6 years old etc but no matter what everyone says its still legal according to GW. the reason i play catachans is because they are so damn fluffy... all mini schwarzeneggers running around chucking demo charges, and firing flamers n meltguns everywhere. i would use the jungle fighter doctrine... i really would... but they lack the snipers and the devils and most importantly: the ambush rule
so far ive only met 1 person on LO who plays the ol' deathworld vets and he was called fallenone45. my question is who else plays or used to play DVs around here? where they fond memorys or disgusting defeats that you just wanna forget.
they were quite polular back in the day...

When I built up my Tanith army I mainly used catachan bits to make them, so from time to time I have used them as Catachans.
Were there fond memories or disgusting defeats for them? Of course, which army has doesn't have either. (Though watching those catachans slaughter khorne berzerkers in close combat was pretty fun; and then the use of kroot as distractions was fun...)

i have a rather largeish swarm of catachan models. I've only fielded them twice as true deathworlders and was not impressed. but I'll find a way to make them work.
