    Last chancers yes or no

hey just started collecting ig again after about a 5yr brake. and just read the last chancers rules. it looks ace and seems to open loads of converting possiblities. Just wondering if a set up like the one below would be any good and if not why and give a better one

    schaeffer
    kage

    3 x last chancers
17 x last chancers all made spesalists
    squad 1: 3x lascaonnon crews + the 3 non spesalists = 3 x mater crafted
    squad 2: 3x melta guns + 4 power weapons + 7x mater crafted
    squad 3: 7x plasma guns + 7x master crafted
+ wud use the carpace armor doc

    which =s a grand total of 925

what do you rekon would it be effective, cost to much or good what would you change etc or wouldnt you use last chancers any way. All help and critism would be welcome (im not saying i think this is gd i just newb to game again so just seeing what you think)

    thanks alot again

they cant use any doctrines. to be honest the last chancers rules arent that bad but they are way too expensive. i cant see this working. last chancers simply arent a cost effective unit. i wouldnt if i were you

i to like the fluff behind them and all but i still think they are too expensive.it isnt as bad only havin a few demo traps to mix in with other IG units but as a stand alone force they dont see to be great. if you have your heart set then go ahead but i doubt that you would win loads of games but heh at least you will have a very unique army.

THey are expensive and can (I speculate) if used carefully even be worth their points, but it's very important with any army not to overspend.
If you drop the (illegal) doctrine and the master craftifications, keep some as specialists with nice weapons but also some redshirts, you'll be much closer to a realizable army.

I'm codexless at the moment but I don't think you can mastercraft weapons that are not bought from the armoury but as upgrades (ie Plasmaguns and Lascans).

However I must say I like them (the Last Chancers) a lot and it would be very nice to see some pics of yours if you realise this idea.

Please don't post individual points costs. A unit total is fine, but the way you had it laid out, you were giving points for almost everything. I took the liberty to edit your post, as points costs are a shady region currently and it's better to be safe than sorry. ^_^

Also, sgt long claw, please take the time to spell correctly, use grammar, punctuate, and capitalise your posts.. it's very difficult to read what you're saying sometimes, and we are, after all, on a forum - nobody really cares how fast you type here; what we care about is legibility, and your post is hardly legible above. So, just for future reference, take your time.

Not to get off topic but what does the Kage model look like anyways. Also I do think use did go over board with all the master crafted.
