I had an idea, as for an elite company with Imperial Fist, I'd make up a new name, "The Flaming Fist", using Imperial Fist set up and all. Instead of the pain staking all-yellow theme, I'd do red bodies, yellow shoulder (red rim, honor the machine spirit and all) and knee pads as well as the crest. What do you think yall?
I think you will soon have an Inquisitor knocking on your door for even suggesting such heresy. The IF are a strict codex chapter. If you want to make a successor with those type of colors, you'll have--The Sons of Ronald McDonald.
I say scrap it. Sorry if I sounded harsh.
On the contrary, you made me laught my ass off. Yeah, I guess I will go with my own army.
The Sons of Ronald McDonald.
hahahaha.. omg! .....
Well, about the chapter, being IF a trait chapter (i think) .. why don't you juz use the same traits and create your own chapter with it's own colors?... i think that's a good way ^_^ ..
Nami kotogotoku, waga tate to nare. Ikazuchi kotogotoku, waga yaiba to nare.
I would like to use the char so i can drop all my termies at once.
Don't have a problem with it at all. GW has been supportive of the "use as" concept for some time now. If you want purple Space Wolves, fine - just don't call them SW(because SW aren't purple). Give them another name and tell your opponent when the game starts that you're using the SW codex. I've been playing with my Loyalist Emperors Children for around 5 years now and have never had a complaint from an opponent that they were using the Blood Angels rules. I don't like grey figures so my Space Wolves are the Jade Wolves.
Your scheme for a chapter using the IF traits but not their colors is fine. You may get some McDonalds comments now but I think that the army won't look cartoonish unless you go out of your way to make it so (golden arches for a chapter symbol). Yellow is an unpleasant color to paint and get it to look nice but red has it's own issues as well. Good luck. Post some pics when you get some done.
Yes, there are female marines and my Sunhawks will let you know in a major way.
Not all the Emperors Children turned coat. We will redeem our name.
