Are the Kasrkins like other Stormtroopers?
Can they be used by others then Cadian armies?
Do they have to be Grenadiers?
Thanks for some answers.
I dont know of their special rules but their fluff is unique to them.Originally Posted by Lord Marshall ZarofIf you are the General it is up to you. It's worth a krak!
AFAIK, the rules for Kasrkin can be fund in Codex: Eye of Terror, but shouldn't be much different, if different at all, from those found in Codex: Imperial Guard.
In game terms, they are basically identical. Kasrkin are unique to the Cadian Armylist in the Codex: Eye of Terror and were basically just precursors to the Storm Troopers found in the current Codex: Imperial Guard. So Kasrkin can technically only be used in a Cadian Armylist, but the models and rules for Storm Troopers are identical and can be used in any Imperial Guard army (barring special doctrine use ).
In story terms, however, the Kasrkin are an elite fighting force unique to the Cadians. I believe they recieve the same training as Storm Troopers do but they are required to take different roles in the military than normal Storm Troopers. I'm sure someone with a better knowledge of the fluff can give you a better analysis than that, but basically they fight at the same level bt are expected to perform different roles.
Ok well Kasrkin are a Cadian unit, but there is no reason you cant use them as Stormtroopers in another army as they are actually Stormtroopers, but troops instead of elites, meaning they are Grenadiers. However if you want you can use them as Stormtroopers in a Cadian army aswell. The difference between the two is that Grenadiers(Stormtroopers as troops) cant deep strike or infilrate, otherwise they are the same.
After research i found the definate answer to your question. In the rulebook it has a picture of a gun labelled "hellgun". This gun is used on the kasrkin models. The entry in the imperial guard codex that uses "hellguns" is the stormtroopers. Therefore kasrkin are stormtroopers!
But yes kasrkin are easily in my top 5 favorite models!
