Welcome to Librarium Online!
I haven't been playing with my blood ravens and i just dnt know what i need to buy for them to make my list better.
-chaplain in termi armour
-2 devestator squads
-some hv wepons for 5 man tatical squad's
-lots of normal marines
-and at the moment i'm converting up a squad of vetrans.
-6 scouts with sniper rifels
-forge world dred
As you can see i love hv wepons and just to let you know my tatic is, shoot at them as they walk across to me and have two 10 man squads (with true grit) waiting for them to finish them off. This usually works for me and the tounyment i'm in is going well and it looks like i will finish 2nd or 3rd.
What do you think i should get next? ike36
You look like you're in need of some serious fast attack. If its shooty you want then I suggest a squadron of Landspeeder tornados with mixed assault cannons and multimeltas. These guys make for amazing fast take down of Vehicles, even heavily armoured ones and with the assault cannons and heavy bolter, infantry are going to fall like bowling pins in your wake. A bike squad or 4 bikes and an assault bike with Multimelta would be cool too. They're really fast at getting up the field and really hard to take down when you turbo them. Also the multi melta will make quick rubble of any vehicles in your path. Having something fast like that blazing up the field will catch your opponents attention and make him target them before going for the bulk of your aermy so while hes playing "catch the speeder" you can get your army into a great firing position and blow him sky high. Good luck bro,

What do you do against shooting armies? You say you stand and shoot, but shooty armies have more firepower than you so I suggest an assault squad to tie up annoying enemies who shoot, and to attract major attention. Also a drop pod for that dread and one or two of the tac squads who you shouldn't have heavy weapons on makes for an annoyance.
If you want to stick to shooting then I suggest a Whirlwind or a Vindicator. Also a transport or two, like maybe two razorbacks for your small marine squads, with lascannons of course.

Rather than put in Landspeeders I would buy two Whirlwinds. Landspeeders are a big target for lascannons, and they crash easily. Whirlwinds can stick behind cover, and break up swarming armies like Tyranids, Orks and Imperial Guard. They're good for just taking out other Tanks that can cause problems for your infantry later in the game.
How about a librarian as a second HQ? Its fluffy and if you infiltrate with a command squad and use FotD you can turn the tides in the first few turns!

I retract my previous post and totally agree with Alaric. Since your army is allready very shooty, why not add in some long range fire support. Whirwinds are great against almost any army even those which get a save from it's missles. When fired at a squad of space marines and it hits dead on, your opponent will have to take at least a few armour saves and the odds are he'll fail one or two depending on how many he took. Against lightly armured troops like Ork, Gaurd, or Tyranids, 2 Whrilwinds constantly bombarding advancing troops can seriously thin out his ranks and make it much easier for your troops to finish the job. So I agree with Alaric and get one or two Whirlwinds. A speeder couldn't hurt either:rolleyes:
