I'm considering adding infiltrating tactical squads into my army (usually equipped with a single plasma gun per group) but without cleanse and purify as a trait. Is this worth the points still or do you need the trait to be truly effective with this strategy?
(in total I will have 25 marines infiltrating.....the 5 man squad is a tank hunting force with TH and a meltagun)
Thanks in advance for advice and replies.

I actualy use a whole infiltrating MEQ army and it works great in cunjunction with heavy wepons such as, getting that lascannon a shot on aartllery and such and, it makes multi meltas useful. As for cleasen and purify it should work fine without it it's just one less melta gun but, one is useually enough if your close range.
If your going to have Heavy Weapons, and play a relativly static army, then you don't need C&P. C&P is only usefull cause it lets you replace a Heavy Weapon with a special weapon, but if you WANT the Heavy...no problem.
Hey, the same traits I use!!:shifty:
I love those two traits stuck together. There is nothing opponenets fear more then a unit with 3+ save that can infiltrate. I love the looks on people's faces when you have 3 full marine squads and when it comes to deployment of troops, you inform your opponent you have no troops to deploy:rolleyes:. Two Meltas in infiltrating squads are so much fun and make your opponent cringe. However, just becuase you have C&P doesn't mean all you tactical squads have to have 2 Assault Weapons. Give your infiltarting squads the benefit and have one squad with lets say a lascannon and plasma gun sitting back and dealing out damage to vehicles that reveal themselves to tackle your infiltrators. Your opponent will be stuck between a table edge and a bunch of sneaky marines with guns that will fry any armour. Its totally worth the points if you know what your doing and exactly what your infiltrating group's targets are. Kep experiementing untill you find a perfect stradegy. Good hunting,
