Well I can guarantee he'll only have one HQ, so you don't have to worry about two hard hitters. Definantly watch out for bloodclaws, as they pack ebough powerfists to show you a really bad time. All things considered the SW list is fairly versatile though, so there is no one real tactic to use against them. You can always guarantee one HQ per 750 points and min 1 squad of grey hunters, other than that the list can go in any direction. Check out the Sons of Russ clan for usual SW tactics and figure out what you're best tactic against it would be.

Your battle is hopeless. You have already lost.
Ok, joke over.
The most underestimated aspect of the SW that almost all MEQ players forget or overlook is close range fire power. Unless you're packing jump packs, and even if you manage to get the charge, you're still looking at one round of shooting that will severely damage you. (This is assuming an Actual Space Wolf player with GH packs, and not those that claim to play SW and run 4 BC packs and one min GH pack). If a decent sized bloodclaw unit gets a charge on you, you can say goodbye to whatever it hits. the 12 powerfist attacks available on the charge for a properly tooled BC pack can decimate a Wraithlord in one round easily, your Initiates will not fare much better. Beware SW HQ, with a frost axe and some sort of pistol they can get a lot of attacks and throw a lot of hurt.
To be honest, playing BT I concentrate on drawing the Initiates forward, letting loose with huge amounts of GH firepower, then letting them charge my front line of GH. The GH with some Wolf Guard intersparsed here and there are very capable of holding you up in close combat just long enough for the Blood Claws to charge into you and hammer you to pieces.
BT are not a very tactically diverse army, and as such are relatively easy to defeat using the proper tactics, especially with CC troops like the SW pack. I fail to see what the fuss is about. (Although I admit, BT gave my Tau some serious trouble before I sold my army.)
-Edit- Looking at your point value, I would probably say that he's gonna be packing a Ven Dread or Wolf Priest, depending on what sort of force he's pulling. He could just as easily bring a Rune Priest if he's running a rhino rush army, or perhaps a cheap WGBL for the points to spend on troops. The most outstanding thing you need to worry about however, is the one large BC pack he will be taking at 750. As I said earlier, it will hammer you if he uses it properly, and because of all the hidden powerfists, throwing an EC at it will not make it better. Shoot it as much as possible to get rid of some of the extra wounds, then pray whatever you throw at it survives long enough to kill them.
Also, Space Wolves do not suffer penalty to Ld for being outnumbered in CC. Odds are, once they're stuck in, they'll stay that way. Do not depend on smashing through units quickly in CC.
